Summary
Yayoi Nakayama is initially coerced into harassing Ikki by Buccha’s group, though she eventually shifts her allegiance to support Kogarasumaru. She possesses the rare ability to communicate with Ikki’s crow and determine the exact time down to the second, a trait common among affluent Tool Toul To tuners. Nakayama harbors a crush on Agito and tends to him when he is weakened. Ine Makigami once noted Nakayama’s potential as an AT-Tuner, even mistaking her for the team’s primary tuner. During Kogarasumaru’s confrontation with the original Sleeping Forest in Inorganic Net, Nakayama tunes Agito back to health after he is injured, thereby completing the Fang Regalia merged into his A-T. Agito fails to recognize Nakayama when she removes her braids, often yelling at her for approaching him with her hair down. During training camp, Nakayama worried about Agito’s excessive efforts to strengthen Fang. Persuaded by Emily, she kidnapped the sleeping Agito and transported him to a relaxing location. Upon waking bound on a boat in the middle of a lake, Agito remained silent and refrained from his usual profanity as Nakayama recounted a story about the lake. Later, during an underwater battle against Orca, Lind kissed Agito to provide him with air. Annoyed by her interference, Orca slashed Nakayama’s face with his AT. Lind then claimed Nakayama was insignificant to him, which enraged Agito. This fury allowed him to break through Lind’s mental cage and reclaim his body. Although Nakayama has officially become Agito’s tuner, she primarily observes Kogarasumaru’s battles.
