Summary
Charles Auclair serves as a distinguished piano professor at the Conservatory where Nodame is enrolled. He acts as a judge during Nodame’s piano competition in Japan, where he becomes fascinated by her performance. However, he quickly identifies her immaturity regarding her approach to music, dubbing her "still a baby" and later "Bebe-chan." Auclair provides Nodame with the chance to study in Paris through Etoh and chooses her as his student, which triggers Franck’s envy. While he acknowledges Nodame’s immense potential, he also notes that she has limited time to refine her abilities.
