Summary
Shiki is a member of the Tao clan, descending from ancestors who survived the war against Chronos twenty-five years ago. He admits to Train during their battle that he would have joined the conflict had he been old enough. Operating as a Master-Level Taoshi, Shiki controls his Chi, though his gender remains ambiguous in the early volumes due to his attire, with his identity revealed later in the story. His primary offensive capability involves insect summoning, which defines his Tao Power as "Insect." Beyond his insect summons, he excels at using ink seals to manipulate his Ki, employing these techniques for diverse purposes such as forging a seal sword or unleashing energy blasts. The anime omits Shiki's backstory and excludes him from fighting Train or playing a significant role within the Apostles of The Stars. Instead, he belongs to the elite team summoned by Mason to initiate the Eden project. He is frequently observed utilizing his insects to gather intelligence for Creed and engages in combat with Anubis.
