Minamoto, Yoshitsune
Summary
Shana oh Yoshitsune presents an alternate narrative to the historical figure Minamoto no Yoshitsune and his retainers, such as the famous Benkei, who lived during the Heian Era. In this version, the real Yoshitsune was a frail and ill boy who encountered Hyouta, a street urchin and traveling orphan who bore an exact physical resemblance to him. Because Hyouta was physically stronger, he was groomed to replace Yoshitsune, eventually assuming the boy's identity and name.
