Akon
Summary
Akon serves as a member of the 12th Division's research institute, distinguishing himself as the second-best gigai scientist within the organization. His physical appearance is that of a tall man lacking eyebrows, featuring a jagged part in his hair and three short horns on his forehead, with a possible fourth hidden by his hair. These horns were absent during his youth 101 years ago. Little is known about him beyond his keen observation that Rukia Kuchiki's gigai was crafted by someone operating outside the laws of the Soul Society, a reference to Kisuke Urahara. He is typically accompanied by his partners Rin Tsubokura and Hiyosu. During the Arrancar arc, the trio monitored the real world for signs of increased Arrancar activity. In Turn Back The Pendulum, Akon joined the Science Bureau shortly after its creation by Kisuke Urahara, a century prior to the current timeline, when he notably lacked horns. In the present, he maintains a positive relationship with Mayuri Kurotsuchi, which contrasts sharply with his previous dynamic with Hiyori Sarugaki. Currently, he stands among the top researchers under Mayuri Kurotsuchi’s leadership and holds the position of chairman for the Shinigami Men's Association.
