Karasu serves as a member of the Togoru team during the dark tournament and holds the rank of a lower B Class demon. His personality remains largely opaque, as he consistently maintains a calm and serious demeanor while concealing his true nature behind a mask covering the lower half of his face. His primary objective in the competition was to secure the severed head of Kurama. In the second Character Popularity Polls in Japan, Karasu secured eighth place with 698 votes, establishing him as the most popular member of Team Toguro. Prior to the tournament, Karasu and Bui engaged the Toguro brothers in combat, resulting in a defeat for the two demons. Following this loss, they promised the brothers a rematch should they join their force, a deal that led them to follow the Toguro Brothers. Functioning as a demon bomber, Karasu possesses the ability to detonate objects without physical contact and can manufacture explosives himself, including winged bombs and large cases of dynamite. His most lethal technique is revealed when he removes his mask, causing his hair to shift from black to blond. This triggers a full-body explosion capable of annihilating large numbers of humans. In the lead-up to the Final Rounds, Karasu confronted Kurama in an alley, emerging victorious. During the Final Rounds, Karasu initially gained the upper hand, nearly killing Kurama before the latter consumed a potion provided by Suzuka. This transformation turned Kurama into Youko, allowing him to gain an advantage by using a giant plant to consume Karasu. Karasu countered by exploding the plant and unleashing his full-body explosion on Kurama, reverting him to his human form. Although Karasu held complete dominance and nearly killed Kurama, the demon was ultimately defeated when Kurama used a Vampire Plant to pierce Karasu's heart. Despite this victory, Kurama failed to win the match because he launched the attack while kneeling, which resulted in a timeout.
