Liu, Fei Yan
Summary
Fei Yan serves as the second disciple of Wèi Ruì-Yīng and is infamously known by the nickname Death Bird Demon (Sǐ Niǎo Guǐ). He formed a deep bond with Erika, going so far as to risk his life to shield her. Believing that Charles de Guise was unfit to shoulder the burden of protecting Erika, Fei Yan challenged him to a duel and successfully killed him. This act triggered a conflict with Kenshiro; despite being defeated in their battle, Fei Yan’s profound influence on Erika ultimately secured Kenshiro’s forgiveness. His life was later cut short when he sustained fatal injuries at the hands of Yasaka. Fully aware that his wounds were incurable and determined not to cause Erika further pain by letting her witness his demise, Fei Yan requested that Kenshiro place him in a boat and set him adrift at sea. As he drew his final breath, he spent his remaining moments reflecting on the kindness Erika had shown him.
