Summary
Taiga Kuzumi serves as the protagonist, a determined young man with an unyielding will who initially fails to gain admission to his preferred high school. His situation changes abruptly when he is mistakenly identified as a truant and forcibly brought onto the campus of the institution he desired. Possessing physical strength that rivals his stubborn personality, he is well-equipped for hand-to-hand combat. During his preliminary interview, he encountered Aika Hiiragi, a girl who immediately captured his affection. However, his first days at the school were marred by a mishap where he accidentally incapacitated her father, Kenjirō Hiiragi, thereby earning her resentment. Upon officially joining the school, Taiga discovers that he cannot practice magic until a proper magic plate is issued for him. Despite this limitation and his long-standing desire to wield magic, rumors circulate among the student body that his magical abilities are superior to those of typical freshmen, a misconception that has made him quite popular. In instances where magic must be demonstrated, Kenjirō Hiiragi performs the spells on Taiga’s behalf.
