Summary
Hailing from Mizuho, Shihna is a striking young woman who originates from the prosperous realm of Tethe'alla. Initially dispatched to Sylvarant by the Pope and the King with the explicit mission to assassinate Colette, her role shifts dramatically as she ultimately joins the group. She is characterized by a tough exterior that masks a kind heart and is rarely seen without Corrine, a man-made Summon Spirit. Shihna frequently serves as the target of Zelos’s flirtations, though she typically manages to rebuff his advances. Her past is marked by a tragic incident at age nine, when she traveled to the Temple of Lightning alongside others from Mizuho to form a pact with Volt, the Summon Spirit of Lightning. Because Volt communicates in a language only specific scholars can understand, Shihna failed to grasp his reluctance to bond again after being betrayed by his previous summoner. This misunderstanding triggered a rampage that claimed a quarter of Mizuho’s population and left her adoptive grandfather, the chief, in a coma. Despite her serious history, Shihna exhibits stereotypical teenage traits, oscillating between denying and attempting to express her emotions. She maintains a constant irritation toward Zelos, hinting at past conflicts, and engages in combat as a capable melee fighter using cards infused with evocation magic.
