Youichi Hiruma serves as the quarterback for the Deimon Devil Bats, wearing jersey number 1. Born on February 7, he has emerald green eyes and blond hair, which he bleached from its original black color. Hiruma typically adopts a vulgar, bizarre, and threatening demeanor to intimidate or disturb those around him, using fear as a tool to achieve his objectives. He possesses a cunning, goal-oriented mindset that disregards the morality of his methods, though he is quick to exploit the moral flaws of others. He records these secrets in his "Book of Threats," also known as the "Devil's Handbook," which he uses to blackmail everyone from students to school officials, securing his position of power. Beyond blackmail, he often forces compliance by brandishing his extensive arsenal of firearms, and his mere reputation is sufficient to make most of the student body fear and obey him. Despite his disregard for school rules and penchant for blackmail, Hiruma strictly adheres to the rules of American football during games. As Inagaki notes, Hiruma focuses entirely on winning, employing taunts and insults to catch opposing teams off guard. His expressions of excitement or happiness are violent, such as firing his guns into the air or kicking a teammate in the rear after a successful play. He addresses every member of the Deimon Devil Bats with vulgarity, starting with "Fucking" and ending with a descriptive noun, such as "Shorty" for Sena or "Monkey" for Monta.
