Summary
Yuuko Kanoe is a fifteen-year-old spirit standing 168 cm tall and weighing 56.2 kg. She was abandoned to die in the old building of Seikyou Private Academy long ago, though she retains no memory of her death. She is currently investigating clues alongside Teiichi Niiya. As a ghost, she is invisible to most students, with the sole exceptions of Teiichi and her blood relative, Kirie Kanoe, who can see her. Yuuko has developed strong feelings for Teiichi and has expressed a desire to stay by his side forever. Okonogi is the only club member unaware that Yuuko is the absentee president of the Paranormal Investigation Club. The surname Kanoe originates from the seventh sign of the Chinese calendar, which historically referred to the evening star and a person's age. In the anime adaptation, Yuuko is associated with autumn leaves and the fiery hues of the sunset sky.
