Battour, Aslan
Summary
Aslan Battour is the father of Serge and the heir to the Viscount Battour family, though he succumbed to tuberculosis prior to the start of the series. During his time as a student at Lacombrade, he contracted the illness, which forced him to take a year away from school. Although he possessed a talent for the piano and harbored dreams of becoming a pianist, his father, Joseph Louis Battour, vehemently opposed this career path. He fell deeply in love with Pavia at first sight and eventually eloped with her after taking her away from Georges-Louis Gargeret. Tragically, his tuberculosis returned, and he passed away in the remote mountain village where he had been living with Pavia and their son Serge.
