Summary
As the son of Bora, Upa joins Son Goku on a brief journey during the Fortuneteller Baba Saga, aiming to collect all of the Dragon Balls to resurrect his father. He belongs to the indigenous tribe that serves as the guardians of Karin Tower, with his father acting as the chief, though the rest of the tribe remains unseen until the manga's conclusion. Upa takes part in the battle against Uranai Baba's thugs and assists Pu'ar in defeating Dracula Man, a kickboxing vampire, by using garlic breath. In a later appearance at the end of Dragon Ball Z, an adult Upa contributes energy to Goku's Genki Dama. He and his father also make a final cameo appearance in Dragon Ball GT during the episode "Piccolo's Decision." Notably, when Kuririn first encounters Upa, he mistakenly assumes he is a cute girl and apologizes upon realizing his error.
