Summary
Ryou Ishizaki has been Tsubasa Ozora’s closest companion from the very start of the narrative. Residing in Nankatsu, Shizuoka, he initially appears as the leader of the Nankatsu elementary school soccer squad, a team that had previously struggled with little success. While his technical soccer skills do not match the caliber of Tsubasa’s, his unwavering determination and indomitable spirit have secured him a spot on the national team. This resilience is vividly displayed during the World Youth Cup Finals, where Ishizaki demonstrates his toughness by taking a devastating, close-range shot directly to the face using his signature face block defense, resulting in him being knocked unconscious.
