Summary
As the chief official at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the head of Public Security Section 6, Nakamura investigates a variety of mysterious cases. His pursuit of 2501, an illegal hacking program, frequently brings him into conflict with Section 9. While Nakamura appeared in the original movie, he is not mentioned in the series. He reappears in the OVA Solid State Society, in a scene implying that the Major worked freelance for Section 6.
