Summary
Rikuu Togakushi serves as the 3rd Seat within the 3rd Division of the Gotei 13, operating under Captain Roujuurou Otoribashi. During the Vandenreich invasion, he stands alongside Lieutenant Izuru Kira and other Third Division officers at the base of a pillar of blue flame. When a member of the Reishi Investigation Team reports a Quincy presence inside the fire, Izuru commands an assault, but he is severely injured before he can act. Rikuu condemns the dishonorable nature of the surprise attack and directs the remaining Shinigami to launch a Shikai assault. Although he releases his Shikai, a Quincy appears behind him and cuts him down, leading the Special Replacement Division Investigation team to note that his reiatsu has completely vanished.
