Summary
Kitsukawa, Shougo, known by the alias Berserker, is a twenty-year-old martial artist who specializes in Ancient Martial Arts, having previously relied on Street Fighting. He wields the Satsujin Ken and is classified as a Dou type. Standing as a tall, muscular figure with spiky dark blonde hair spiked in the back, he typically wears a red open jacket and gloves. Often seen chewing bubble gum and maintaining a silent demeanor, he possesses a calm disposition that rarely falters despite the destruction wrought upon Ragnarok. Before the disbanded of Ragnarok, Berserker served as its Second Fist, widely regarded as the most fearsome fighter in the organization. Even Loki acknowledged his potential, suggesting he could surpass Odin as the First Fist, though this may have been a manipulative tactic to sow discord. Despite his fearsome reputation, Berserker harbors no desire for leadership and genuinely fears Odin, believing him to be significantly stronger. During his match against Hermit, he admitted to fearing boredom more than defeat. When entering his Berserker Mode, his personality shifts to become sadistic and brutal, allowing him to assault opponents without restraint while laughing maniacally. Berserker typically remains in the background, observing conversations without participating. During a poker game with Loki, who claimed to be joking about forming a new Ragnarok with the winner deciding the leader, Berserker departed upon seeing Loki’s four of a kind, knowing it was a cheat. Loki was later shocked to discover Berserker held a Royal Straight Flush. Later, Berserker systematically eliminated key Ragnarok members, including Takeda and Ukita. After Niijima tricked him into a hole, he emerged to fight Siegfried, defeating him and nearly drowning him before leaving for Akisame and Sakaki to rescue him. Following Loki’s betrayal of Ragnarok during the attack on the Shinpaku Alliance, Loki ordered Berserker to lead his new group, the Eight Fists. Berserker complied, easily defeating the recruits and Loki himself, stating he only approached Loki to gain proximity for an attack. He was subsequently challenged by Hermit, who was enraged that Berserker had killed Loki before he could. Initially, Berserker’s foresight failed to counter Hermit’s ability to land hits, forcing him to use unconventional techniques. Once Hermit adapted to those, Berserker entered his Berserker Mode to overwhelm his opponent. Ultimately, Hermit defeated Berserker by twisting one of his arms and unleashing a barrage of devastating attacks. Unwilling to admit defeat, Berserker attempted to continue fighting despite his injuries, but Kenichi persuaded him that learning from defeat is more valuable than shame. Berserker ceased his resistance, warned Kenichi about Odin, and was finally finished off by Odin. Much later, a silhouette of Berserker appeared among three individuals selected by Kensei for disciple testing, suggesting he had joined Yomi. After the death of Silcardo Jenazad, he remained in the shadows, impassively chewing and blowing bubble gum while Ogata Isshinsai discussed events with his disciples, a behavior reminiscent of his time in the Ragnarok Saga. His first formal appearance occurred when Yomi members were summoned to headquarters by Kushinada Mikumo. Standing behind his former leader, Asamiya Ryuuto, Berserker caught shurikens thrown at the disciples with his mouth, blowing a bubble around them while wondering about the fights others had endured.
