Amane, Mikiko
Summary
Mikiko Amane is a spirited and tomboyish girl who transfers into Nekota’s school. Initially, she resolved to remain isolated to avoid the pain of parting with friends, a consequence of her family’s frequent relocations. However, her interest in Nekota drives her to make him her primary goal, a decision that inadvertently leads to the formation of other friendships. Typically naive and dense, she often struggles to read the atmosphere, which can make her appear inconsiderate or rude when she fails to grasp social nuances. Despite these flaws, she possesses a genuinely kind heart. Uniquely, she is the only student in her class capable of seeing Nekota’s feline form. She becomes determined to unravel this mystery, occasionally catching glimpses of his cat head, though she has yet to see his human face. With no prior experience in romance, she finds love complex and views her affection for her friends as distinct from her special feelings for Nekota. While she harbors romantic love for him, her density prevents her from recognizing these emotions.
