Kojima, Yuki

Summary

As a second-year student, Yuki Kojima founded the girls' soccer team after growing weary of her role as the boys' team manager. While many club members find her intimidating due to her blunt manner and unladylike demeanor, she skillfully leverages her attractiveness and feminine charm to persuade the boys into doing her bidding. She is a highly talented player who remains deeply committed to the sport, even cutting her hair short to participate in a match with the boys, and she consistently urges Shō and Masato to persevere. Her serious approach mirrors the encouragement Shō later offers when the girls' team struggles. Yuki previously played soccer at her former school before her family relocated. Upon arriving at Josui, she found that gender restrictions prevented her from continuing to play, leading her to adopt the persona of a mysterious figure who sat on the sidelines and harshly criticized those she deemed unworthy. Her identity was revealed when she confronted Masato for attempting to quit the team and challenged him to a match to prove his potential. Following this encounter, Shō persuaded her to transition from management to active play, prompting her to establish the girls' team. By the end of the manga, Yuki chose soccer as her career path. Recognizing the difficulties female players face in gaining prominence in her home country, she traveled to the United States to pursue her ambition of becoming a top-tier player.
