Maid Ane
Summary
Two young sisters from a serf family of seven siblings sought refuge at the Crimson Scholar's estate after their other siblings perished from hunger and disease. Having fled the brutal conditions of serfdom, where their lord treated them like slaves, they hoped to find a better life in the city. However, the Chief Maid despises their presence, fearing it would cause trouble with the Crimson Scholar, and views them as bugs for allowing harsh realities to dictate their fate rather than taking control of their own lives. After pleading with the Chief Maid to teach them how to become proper humans, they are placed under her guard and work as assistant maids. Through her education, Big Sister Maid gains knowledge about the various social classes of human society, while Little Sister Maid becomes an expert in food and drinks. Contrary to what Hero and the others believe, they are unaware of the Crimson Scholar's secret.
