Summary
Tonio is an apple vendor who mistakenly believed that Romeo had stolen fruit from one of his baskets. Consequently, Tonio intended to escort Romeo to the police station for the alleged theft. However, with assistance from Alfredo, Romeo was able to prove his innocence. It was later revealed that Tonio’s own son, Barchelo, was the actual thief. Following this discovery, Tonio apologized to Romeo and gave him two apples as a gesture of reconciliation.
