Kitsune
Summary
Most fans of the series know this unnamed fox as Kitsune, a name he prefers over his true identity. He develops romantic feelings for Shinobu early on and desperately seeks her acknowledgment, though his adorable demeanor and childish naivety render him completely oblivious to his advances in her eyes. While he possesses the ability to transform and disguise himself to suit his convenience, his efforts are futile because he cannot alter his height, facial features, or voice, meaning he never successfully deceives anyone. Although he is capable of human speech, he has a distinct habit of saying "kon" whenever he becomes excited or frustrated, mimicking the sound foxes are said to make in Japanese.
