Summary
Liver served as the commander of Esdeath’s elite personal guard, leading the formidable unit known as The Three Beasts. A refined yet battle-hardened warrior, his loyalty to Esdeath was absolute. In his past, he was a distinguished General in the Empire’s army and held a superior rank to Bulat. During the conflict against the Southern Lands, he was unjustly dismissed after refusing to accept bribes from the Prime Minister. Although he valiantly defended his record at a military tribunal, his pleas were ignored, resulting in a life sentence in prison. His fate changed when Esdeath intervened, freeing him on the condition that he join her forces. Valuing his capabilities and believing it wasteful to imprison such talent, she also offered protection against the Prime Minister. Deeply grateful for his salvation and new military career, Liver became one of Esdeath’s most devoted followers. Years later, he crossed paths with Bulat again aboard the cruise ship Ryussen. Their reunion ended in a deadly duel, as their diverging paths and conflicting loyalties left no room for anything else.
