Summary
Akira Kise is a dedicated police officer who frequently responds to calls for assistance. He holds deep admiration for Kozuki Yutaka, Tsukasa’s father, which inspired him to join the force after their meeting. At one point, Kise questioned his own sexuality due to his attraction to Tsukasa, only to later discover that Tsukasa was a woman disguised as a man. He harbors a strong animosity toward the yakuza, particularly the Kuryugumi, whom he blames for Kozuki Yutaka’s death. It is revealed that Kise was abandoned by his parents and raised in an orphanage, where he was known only by a serial number. He serves in the GRAVE section of the Control Police, working alongside partner Kai Munakata, whom he initially finds unpleasant. Kise is among the few individuals aware of Tsukasa’s true gender and feels a romantic interest in her despite the significant age gap. He views Ryuji as a rival, a dynamic that causes Ryuji to become constantly jealous of him.
