Hotarubi, Mei
Summary
Mei, a member of the Fighter Unit of Fearless, first appeared in volume 5 of the manga. Although she appears to be a grade schooler around the same age as Ritsuka, she is actually a girl with a boyish appearance. As a newcomer to combat, her spell casting is weak, and her attempts to fight Soubi are described as adorable. She harbors a crush on Mimuro and resents how Nisei treats him. To cater to her belief that Mimuro prefers boys, she wears her long hair under a cap. While Mimuro advocates for an offensive fighting style, Mei specializes in defensive spells to protect him from harm. Like the other members of Fearless, she has their unit name tattooed on the back of one hand.
