Anis
Summary
Anis serves as the young spouse to a benevolent and affluent man in Persia, and she is also the mother of a small son named Hasan. While Smith and Ali briefly stay at her husband’s residence, Anis remains unseen by Smith. Despite possessing every material comfort, she suffers from profound isolation and loneliness until her maid, Maarfe, persuades her to visit the public baths alongside her.
