With the courtesy name Wenhe, Jia Xu holds the distinction of being the third member of the Eight Enigma, a group of genius military advisors personally selected by the renowned veteran strategist Sima Hui, known as 'Shujing,' from among his pupils. He is widely considered the most notorious figure within this elite circle, largely due to his penchant for sacrificial strategies. Notably, he has orchestrated scenarios that resulted in the deaths of his own lords to eliminate the shared threat of Lu Bu. As the best friend of the Fourth Enigma, Guo Jia, Jia Xu is a staunch adherent of the 'Darkness ideology.' This philosophy posits that actions characterized by extreme cruelty, rather than benevolence, are the necessary means to achieve lasting peace and prosperity. Consequently, he broke away from the teachings of justice imparted by Shujing, which he viewed as outdated, leading to his premature departure from Shujing’s school.
