Summary

Deoxys is a bipedal, humanoid, extraterrestrial Pokémon existing in four distinct forms, each emphasizing a different statistical attribute. A purple, crystalline organ located on its chest is believed to be its brain; as depicted in Destiny Deoxys (M07), this organ can change color to green. Its face features a light blue oval pattern with a central purple stripe, white circular eyes set within black rectangular sockets, and three light blue dots arranged in a triangular formation on its back. Born from a mutation of an extraterrestrial virus triggered by laser exposure, Deoxys is highly intelligent and capable of firing lasers from its chest organ. In a dormant state, it resembles a triangular stone tablet. Legend suggests it appears where auroras are visible, and it generates an aurora when changing forms. In Destiny Deoxys, electromagnetic wavelengths from auroras facilitate communication with other Deoxys, while excessive electromagnetic emissions can obscure its vision. The creature also possesses powerful regeneration abilities, allowing it to regrow lost body parts, and can create clones of itself, a trait also shown in Pokémon Adventures. These clones are duller in color, lack eyes or the chest organ, and cannot transform. Deoxys shares a fierce rivalry with , frequently clashing in space across various media. During the Delta Episode of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, Deoxys approached Earth within the Grand Meteor Delta. Deoxys can shift between Normal Forme, Attack Forme, Defense Forme, and Speed Forme at will or upon exposure to a Meteorite. It typically remains in Normal Forme when not threatened. In Normal Forme, Deoxys has tapered legs with a segmented vertical blue stripe on the upper section, a black abdomen with vertical lines, and reddish-orange skin. Its arms usually appear as two coiled, double-helix tentacles—one reddish-orange and one light blue—but can morph into humanoid arms with red tops, blue undersides, and five-fingered hands. This balanced form features blunt head protrusions with blue stripes and a stubby tail. Attack Forme retains tapered legs, but the blue stripes run the full length without segmentation, and a large spike appears on the knee. Whip-like tentacles with pointed tips, one reddish-orange and one blue, replace the coiled ones. The head protrusions become triangular with an additional one extending from the top. Most reddish-orange skin recedes to reveal a striated black chest and abdomen, and the tail becomes longer and pointed. This form is the most offensively powerful and is described as having an aggressive disposition. In Defense Forme, Deoxys has bulky, wide legs that are somewhat flat at the ends, with bluish-green spots on each knee. Its two pairs of red and blue tentacles become flat and broad. The head fuses with the body, eliminating protrusions and creating a helmet-like appearance. Reddish-orange skin covers the entire body, hiding the inner black portions. A single blue stripe appears on each shoulder, and the tail vanishes. This form offers the highest defensive capability. Speed Forme features a sleek black body with thin striations. Reddish-orange skin is limited to the head, hip joints, and the area around the crystal. Each side of the body has only one tentacle, one red and one blue. Head protrusions point upward, with the back forming a long spike containing a thick blue stripe. Additional blue stripes appear on the hip joints and legs. This form grants the greatest agility among the four.
