Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games Adds Four New Voice Actors With Main PV

The television anime adaptation of Eri Ejima's Young Ladies Don't Play Fighting Games (Tai Ari Deshita: Ojō-sama wa Kakutō Game Nante Shinai) dropped its main promotional video today, unveiling four additional cast members and previews of the opening and ending themes.

Veteran seiyuu Nobuyuki Hiyama joins as gekido, with Yumiri Hanamori voicing Hana Ichinose, Yōhei Azakami as Cafe Au Lait, and Taku Yashiro as Seshiro. They bolster the core lineup led by Ikumi Hasegawa as Aya Mitsuki, Kana Ichinose as Mio Yorue, Sayaka Senbongi as Yu Inui, Shino Shimoji as Tamaki Ichinose, and Maria Naganawa as Arisa Fujimiya. Real-world fighting game commentator Aru also lends his voice to the in-story commentator character Flamberge.

Set at the ultra-refined Kuromi Girls' Academy, the story follows scholarship student Aya as she stumbles upon the school's most elegant idol secretly dominating fighting games with ruthless trash talk. Their forbidden passion for competitive play threatens the academy's strict decorum while forging an unexpected connection.

Shōta Ihata directs at diomedéa, with series composition by Wataru Watari and character design by Mayuko Matsumoto. Kadokawa's professional FAV gaming team, competitors in Street Fighter 6, collaborated on the recording process. Rock band Hanabie. performs the opening "Inochi Mijikashi Tai Suru Otome yo!" while halca sings the ending "New Game." The series premieres July 7 on AT-X, Tokyo MX, MBS, BS NTV, and other channels.
