Tasuku Hatanaka Cast as Jewel in Red Cat Ramen Season 2

The cozy world of cat-operated ramen just got even more inviting. The official site for the anime adaptation of ANGYAMAN's manga Ramen Akaneko (English title Red Cat Ramen) released a teaser visual and promotional video on Saturday, confirming a January 2027 premiere for the second season and introducing a key new cast member.
Popular seiyuu Tasuku Hatanaka, known for lively roles such as Denki Kaminari in My Hero Academia, will voice Jewel, a fresh feline character stepping into the ramen shop's daily life. The announcement pairs the casting reveal with the first look at the new season's visuals featuring the established manager Bunzo alongside the newcomer.
Returning staff and voices keep the warmth intact. Director Hisatoshi Shimizu returns at E&H production with Good Smile Company, while the core cast from season one reprises their roles: Kenjiro Tsuda as Bunzo, Noriaki Sugiyama as Sasaki, Michiyo Murase as Sabu, Rie Kugimiya as Hana, Saori Hayami as Krishna, and Kurumi Orihara as Tamako Yashiro.
The series follows human Tamako, who takes a job at the cat-only ramen shop and ends up as their devoted caretaker amid quirky customers and heartwarming routines. Season one streamed on Crunchyroll in 2024, and fans have been waiting for another helping of the unique slice-of-life charm. The new season is expected to deliver more of the same gentle humor and feline appeal when it airs next January.
