Slime Vol. 32 Smashes Oricon with 195K+ Debut Sales

Japan's authoritative Oricon weekly comic ranking for the period covering June 8-14 has crowned That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Vol. 32 as the country's top-selling manga release. The volume from Kodansha, illustrated by Taiki Kawakami with story by Fuse and character designs by Mitz Vah, moved an estimated 195,525 copies to claim the #1 spot.

A special edition of the same volume added another 33,562 units, bringing the combined physical tally close to 229,000 copies despite the book hitting shelves only on June 9. The strong opening underscores the enduring commercial power of the long-running isekai series even as digital formats continue to reshape the market.

The result arrives while Season 4 of the anime continues to air in split cours, keeping the franchise in the spotlight for fans. Other notable performers on the same chart included Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun Vol. 49 in second place and the romance title The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity Vol. 23 taking third.

Titles like WIND BREAKER Vol. 26, Chainsaw Man Vol. 24, and Dandadan Vol. 24 rounded out the upper ranks, showing a healthy mix of long-runners and newer hits. For Slime, the numbers reinforce its status as a reliable sales leader whenever a new collected volume lands.

With more cours of the anime still ahead and the manga continuing to adapt popular arcs, the series shows no signs of slowing down in either format. Physical buyers in Japan clearly remain invested in following Rimuru's ever-expanding world.
