'She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat' Manga Returns After Two-Year Hiatus

After two years without a new chapter, Sakaomi Yuzaki's warmly received manga Tsukuritai Onna to Tabetai Onna has resumed serialization. The latest installment, chapter 53, appeared on Kadokawa's ComicWalker platform, picking up the story of two women whose lives intertwine over home-cooked meals and quiet companionship.
The return coincides with the June 15 release of the sixth tankōbon volume, which collects the final chapters before the break along with bonus content. Kadokawa is also marking the series' milestone of surpassing one million copies in circulation, a significant achievement for the title that first gained attention on social media before moving to formal serialization.
Readers have long appreciated the manga's unhurried focus on food, daily life, and the developing bond between Nomoto, who finds joy in cooking large portions, and Kasuga, who brings an equally big appetite to the table. The series earned strong praise in rankings such as Kono Manga ga Sugoi! and received a live-action drama adaptation that further broadened its audience.
Yen Press continues releasing the English edition, with volume five arriving earlier this year. Fans can now look forward to regular updates as the story moves forward in both digital and print formats.
