MAPPA Marks 15th Anniversary with Moody New Reze Key Visual

MAPPA is kicking off its 15th anniversary celebrations with a striking new key visual created exclusively for the milestone. Founded in June 2011, the studio has built a reputation for ambitious, high-profile productions that have helped define recent anime eras.

The inaugural piece in a planned three-visual series focuses on Reze from Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc. She is shown walking with a lively stride from a shadowy urban alley toward a bright light ahead, rendered with atmospheric lighting and a cinematic sense of movement. The artwork was illustrated by Shoichi, with digital paint by Misaki Nakano, background art by Taichi Uchima, and compositing by Yusuke Tannawa.

This launch is the start of broader anniversary plans. MAPPA has scheduled a major lineup presentation for June 19 on its official YouTube channel, promising updates on several titles including the next phase of Chainsaw Man. Additional original visuals, fall exhibitions in multiple cities, and new merchandise are also in the works.

For fans and the wider industry, the reveal highlights how studios like MAPPA continue to blend technical craft with distinctive artistic identity while marking their own history. The new Reze visual offers both a fresh look at a beloved character and a statement of the studio's ongoing creative direction.
