MAPPA Launches 15th Anniversary with Bold New Reze Arc Visual

Animation studio MAPPA is marking its 15th anniversary with fresh promotional art spotlighting one of its biggest theatrical successes. The first of three planned key visuals centers on Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc, showcasing the film's enigmatic lead in a moody new illustration.

Created by animator Shoichi with digital coloring by Misaki Nakano, background art by Taichi Uchima, and compositing by Yusuke Tannawa, the image captures Reze stepping from a dimly lit alley toward a bright light source. The composition echoes the story's blend of tension, intimacy, and striking visuals that helped make the 2025 release a standout hit for the studio.

The visual launches a short series of commemorative pieces tied to MAPPA's flagship titles. Two more artworks are expected in the coming days, building directly toward a special anniversary presentation on June 19 where the studio plans additional updates.

For fans of the Chainsaw Man film and MAPPA's signature style, the new artwork serves as both a celebration and a reminder of the studio's theatrical ambitions. It keeps the spotlight firmly on Reze Arc while signaling more to come from the team behind several of anime's most ambitious recent productions.
