Kazuya Ichijō Cast as Fang Father in Fist of the North Star Anime

The post-apocalyptic saga of Fist of the North Star just gained a commanding new presence. Veteran voice actor Kazuya Ichijō has been cast as Fang Father, the brutal leader of the Fang clan also known as Boss Fang or Kiba Daio, in the current TV anime adaptation of Buronson and Tetsuo Hara's landmark manga.
The announcement highlights Ichijō's role in the twelfth and final episode, "The Men Who Saw Tears," airing this weekend on TOKYO MX and BS11 in Japan with worldwide streaming on Prime Video. The character is portrayed as a complex patriarch who shows twisted affection for his "children" while treating them as expendable tools in his quest for power.
Ichijō, active since the mid-1990s and affiliated with Ken Production, brings decades of experience to the part. He joins a cast already led by Shunsuke Takeuchi as Kenshiro, Daiki Yamashita as Bat, M.A.O as Rin, and other established talents delivering the series' signature brutal martial-arts action.
The timing adds extra weight to the finale as the high-fidelity 2026 reboot nears its conclusion. Official channels and the actor himself shared the news alongside comments from Ichijō, signaling strong anticipation for how the patriarch will shape the story's closing moments.
