Grotesqqque Anime Film Taps 35 Artists for 2026 Soundtrack

CloverWorks just cranked up anticipation for its ambitious original anime film with a massive music reveal. The studio announced a roster of 35 artists who will contribute original songs and score to Grotesqqque, a project already generating buzz for its eclectic mix of styles and talent.

Directed by Atsushi Nishigori of The Idolmaster and DARLING in the FRANXX fame, the film is structured as an omnibus of three distinct tales: the sci-fi "Aeliens," the playful "4649 Girl," and the moody "Nocturne: Kono Grotesque na Yoru ni." Produced under the JOEN banner uniting CloverWorks, Aniplex, Wit Studio, and Shueisha, it channels Nishigori's personal creative passions into a theatrical experience packed with pop edge and emotional depth.
