Kamiharu Haruno is returning to Square Enix's Gangan Joker with a fresh serialization. The artist, known for the school-life comedy "Shut Up, Takamori!" that wrapped up last year after five volumes, will debut "Ikiru no Heta na Takō no Joshi" in the magazine's August 2026 issue.

The new series hits shelves July 22 and will feature center color pages in its opening chapter. Haruno's previous work began as a one-shot in the same magazine before expanding into a full run that also received an English digital release via Manga UP! Global.

While specific plot details remain under wraps for now, the title suggests a story centered on a girl from another school grappling with the ups and downs of everyday life. Early reactions from fans highlight excitement for another character-driven title in the Gangan Joker lineup.

The launch continues the magazine's recent string of new serializations and underscores Square Enix's commitment to developing fresh voices in its pages for readers in Japan and internationally.
