Black Clover Season 2 Locks October 2026 Premiere with Tanemura Directing

The otaku world just got a serious dose of anti-magic energy. TV Tokyo and the production committee announced that Black Clover Season 2 will premiere on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks in October 2026, ending the extended hiatus since the original 170-episode run concluded in March 2021.

Ayataka Tanemura returns to the director's chair after steering the later episodes of the first season and the Sword of the Wizard King film. Studio Pierrot is back on animation duties alongside a bolstered team that includes series composer Keiichiro Ochi, character designer Itsuko Takeda, sub-character designer Kumiko Tokunaga, and music composer Minako Seki. Tanemura shared a special illustration and message promising fans an even more powerful take on Asta and the crew.

Hype is already building ahead of the October slot. The first episode of Season 2 will screen at a special Anime Expo 2026 panel on July 4 featuring Tanemura and Asta voice actor Gakuto Kajiwara.
