The Great Adventures of Robin Hood
Finished
7.1

A version of Robin Hood where all the main characters are teenagers. Centuries ago in Nottingham County, a cruel and greedy baron named Alwine ordered the burning of the Huntingtons' castle. Robin and his cousins Will, Winifred, and Barbara miraculously escaped the flames. They sought refuge in Sherwood Forest, where the wise guidance of the hermit known as Friar Tuck helped them cope with the challenges of life in the wilderness. However, the forest was also home to a fearless band of young outlaws led by Little John. Their first meeting with Robin and his cousins was turbulent, as the two groups fought over the fate of a young noble maiden named Marian, whom the bandits had captured during an ambush. Their hostility quickly gave way to friendship, and Robin and John soon realized they shared the same enemy. The youths agreed to help each other. Baron Alwine was not only the enemy of the Huntingtons—a few years earlier, he had forced Little John and his gang into the forest to escape forced labor. He later sought Marian Lancaster for the secret carved into a cross she wore as a symbol of her family line. Marian was to be adopted by the shady Bishop Herfort, Alwine's accomplice, who aimed to claim the Lancasters' wealth. With all their strength, Robin and his friends fought against the baron's troops, led by the dangerous and fearless knight Gilbert. When Winifred and Marian were imprisoned in the castle dungeons, the heroes tried every way to break in until their determination finally succeeded. Thanks to his noble heart and willingness to take risks, Robin quickly became known as the protector of the poor and oppressed. He was beloved and highly regarded not only by the villagers but also by the sweet and beautiful Marian. The boy, who never parted from his loyal magical bow, endlessly undertook dangerous and unimaginable missions.
