Tensai Bakabon tells the story of a prodigy child and his father, who is deeply philosophical. Papa Bakabon lives by his own personal philosophy and spares no effort in his search for answers. Bakabon joins his father on these philosophical quests, and together they drive the townspeople crazy.

A mysterious girl arrives as a transfer student at Mitsuba Elementary School. On the surface, she appears to be an ordinary student. But in reality, she is an incredible athlete and possesses the ability to communicate with animals. She claims to be the 33rd direct descendant of the legendary ninja Sarutobi Sasuke. Additionally, her dog Puku can speak. Having no permanent residence, she ends up sleeping in Miko-chan's room. She gets kicked out once, but after helping put out a fire, Miko-chan's family allows her to stay. From then on, she becomes well-known at school.

Thomas is a sly bird that lives off Hyppo, a kind-hearted hippopotamus. Despite being a dependent who resides within Hyppo's large mouth, Thomas behaves arrogantly and constantly attempts to deceive his simple-minded host. Nevertheless, their fundamental bond and collaboration persist through their regular arguments. These two characters take center stage in this comic series, which is brief but highly original.
