Kota, a determined young man, and shinigami #841 Yayoi are at the center of this story. Though drawn to the calling of a shinigami, Kota must face the ghosts of his own history before he can decide whether he is truly ready to walk that path.

Kota, having become a shinigami, is tasked with tailing a man who has reached his lowest point. Little by little, Kota pieces together the man’s past and the chain of occurrences that brought him to this crucial moment.
