Synopsis
Qiao Jingting accidentally enters the abyss game to escape being enslaved, then teams up with the vengeful veteran player Shu Ai and the mysterious youth Bai Er to fight against the evil ruler Han Bin and his organization, Heart Moon Fox. After a desperate battle, just as they think victory is within reach, they realize they've fallen into Han Bin's trap and are now in a hopeless situation. Even worse, this failure quickly shatters the trust among the trio. At a critical moment, the arrival of the super expert and rough man Zou Yidao shifts the power balance in the entire novice village and offers Qiao Jingting and his companions a glimmer of hope for escape. Unfortunately, they soon discover that Zou Yidao, who managed to get out of the crisis, seems to lack a clear moral compass compared to Han Bin, caring only about his own objectives. Moreover, at this point, he appears to have struck some kind of "deal" with Han Bin. Amid growing despair, Qiao Jingting and his group keenly perceive the true nature hidden beneath Zou Yidao's "playful" exterior, and through this, they sense the irreconcilable conflicts between Han Bin and Zou Yidao. Seizing the chance, they unite with Zou Yidao and eventually defeat Han Bin. However, what Qiao Jingting and the others never anticipated is that just as they leave the novice village, ready to show their skills, they encounter threats in the outside world far more formidable than those posed by the once powerful Han Bin, unleashing an unknown multiple of immense crises.

Shenyuan Youxi is an adaptation of the Chinese novel Shenyuan Youxi (深渊游戏), written by Shui Qiancheng (水千丞).
