Towards the Rainbow

Synopsis

Directed by Okamoto Tadanari, this film won the Ōfuji Noburō Award at the 32nd Mainichi Film Awards in 1977 in recognition of animation excellence. It follows two villages situated on opposite sides of a river. The villagers unite to build a bridge connecting their communities, thereby allowing a young couple in love to be married.
