World, Before You End

Synopsis

After Mount Fuji erupts, much of Japan becomes buried beneath a layer of ash, with particles continuing to drift down like snow. Fears of another eruption grow, prompting many to evacuate, but a few—including high school student Rui Satou—choose to stay, mostly confined indoors. Rui spends his time chatting with people online, where he meets Michiru. Their conversations quickly blossom into a deep connection, and despite the danger, Rui decides to meet her in person, even though she lives closer to the disaster zone. When they finally meet, Rui realizes their bond is far more profound and mysterious than he ever expected.
