Despite Kiss-shot's assurance that she can restore his humanity after regaining her full power, Araragi grapples with the repercussions of his involvement. He has located the trio of vampire hunters responsible for Kiss-shot's previous defeat and the removal of her limbs, but as he edges closer to his objective, doubts arise about the wisdom of reawakening such a potent and uncontrollable entity. Additionally, Araragi delves into the enigma surrounding the earlier confrontation: why were Kiss-shot and the hunters at odds, given his recent success against the same foes? He must also assess the feasibility of Kiss-shot’s pledge to revert him to human form and decide whether to trust her word. Pushed to the brink, Araragi must make a fateful decision, one that might necessitate an action laden with remorse to settle the matter.
