Continues the story of Beyond the Ocean
In "Beyond the Ocean," Crown Prince Jianwen is shattered after witnessing Admiral Zheng—his mentor and trusted confidant—assassinate the emperor during a naval review. The imperial court immediately accuses Jianwen of regicide and a failed coup, forcing him to flee as Zheng, now acting under orders from Prince Regent Yan, pursues him to Quanzhou. Jianwen recognizes the trap and begins his evasion, navigating a treacherous political landscape where multiple factions await their chance to strike. Meanwhile, Zheng must protect the prince while contending with Jianwen's growing distrust and unravel the mystery behind the former emperor's manipulation.

In season two of Beyond the Ocean, Jianwen and his team board the Axia ship on a mission to rescue Qili. They encounter the pirate Qisha and successfully free Qili, though not without difficulties. However, Qili cannot leave Jianwen because of his family’s fate. As Jianwen wrestles with uncertainty, word arrives of King Yan’s coronation and the Haizangzhu’s reappearance, leading to a martial arts tournament held on the Axia ship. Driven by a desire for vengeance, Jianwen decides to master the Haizangzhu’s power and trains intensely for the competition. At the same time, the Onmyoji and their accomplices’ plan to revive a malevolent deity becomes increasingly clear. Jianwen confronts the Onmyoji and their allies through strategic battles of intellect and courage aboard the Axia. Additionally, the Whale Riding Merchant Group Tongque brings new insights to Qisha, suggesting that Jianwen may be the pivotal “chosen one” needed to unravel these complex schemes. What path will Jianwen and his companions follow next?
