Synopsis
In ages past, birds and beasts waged a brutal war. The clever bats opportunistically aligned with whichever side appeared to be winning, shifting their allegiance as fortunes changed. When peace was finally declared and a celebration of unity was held, the bats’ double-dealing was revealed. Rejected by both factions, they were shunned by all. Consequently, bats retreated into the shadows, hiding from daylight and emerging only under the cover of night to fly in silence.
