Synopsis
Nina Yamada's biggest wish is to have a protector just like the princesses in her fairy tales. That wish becomes urgent when she gulps down a mysterious pink sphere that she thinks is candy, causing many people to plummet from the sky. The sphere is actually the Crystal Pearl, a symbolic item that magic users from a different realm compete to obtain. Whoever wins the Crystal Pearl can pass a magic test and earn the esteemed rank of professional wizard. Two examinees, Zero and Ichii, realize the pearl is inside Nina and vow to guard her until the exam concludes. With numerous other candidates chasing the same prize, their mission is challenging—yet no more awkward than Nina's experience of showing up at school trailed by two attractive boys.
