Synopsis
Continues the story of The Outcast Season 1
In "The Outcast Season 1," college student Zhang Chulan goes back to his family's ancestral village and learns that his grandfather Zhang Xilin's grave has been violated. While looking into the cemetery, he is assaulted by a thief who pretends to be Zhang Xilin's granddaughter. Surrounded by a horde of undead raised by the grave robber who took his grandfather's corpse, Zhang Chulan manages to escape using the qi techniques his grandfather had taught him. Returning to his normal life as a student, Zhang Chulan is shocked to encounter the same tomb raider, Feng Baobao. Baobao works for a government organization that oversees outcasts known as qi users and forces Zhang Chulan to join a courier company that acts as a cover for their secret operations. Amid the conflict between various factions fighting for the mysterious power supposedly inherited by Zhang Chulan from his grandfather, he must navigate the dangerous world of outcasts and choose his allies carefully to survive.
