Synopsis
In a world of magic where humans, demihumans, and oni are locked in bitter conflict, Princess Saltorine "Sally" Aldike travels to locate a person named Mikoto Kibitsu. Along her journey, Sally uncovers many truths she remained unaware of because of her noble upbringing—including the fact that the oni wield power strong enough to annihilate all of humanity. Seemingly granted a means to oppose the oni's strength, Sally possesses a mysterious ability that appears as a mark shaped like a peach, granting her superhuman prowess that lets her defeat even powerful oni with little trouble. Nevertheless, Sally tries her best not to judge between humans, demihumans, and oni, holding onto hope that peaceful coexistence among the three groups might someday become reality. In contrast, Mikoto—who wields the same peach-shaped power as Sally but with far greater skill—pursues a very different aim. Mikoto is determined to slaughter and torture every oni that exists, stopping at nothing to accomplish that goal. As Sally and Mikoto continue to encounter one another, the power they both command will determine whether friendly coexistence or total destruction lies ahead.
